Planning a Simple Birthday Party For Your Little
Planning a birthday party for your little girl can be a fun and exciting experience for both you and your child. Whether you’re throwing a big bash or a small get-together with close friends and family, there are a few key steps you can take to ensure that the party is a success.
Here are some tips for planning a little girl’s birthday party:
1. Choose A Theme

Choosing a theme for the party is a great way to get started with the planning process. This could be based on your child’s favorite color, favorite character or hobby, or a particular activity she enjoys. Some popular themes for little girls’ birthday parties include princesses, fairies, unicorns, mermaids, and tea parties.
2.Create A Guest List

Once you have a theme in mind, create a guest list of your child’s closest friends and family members. You may want to limit the number of guests depending on the size of your home or the venue you choose. We love to also invite our little’s teachers who they see weekly. Sometimes schools will allow you to invite other kids in their class as long as you can get a list of parent’s contact so you can hand out invites later on.
3. Decide on a Venue

Depending on the size of the party and the time of year, you may want to hold the party at home, in a local park, or at a rented venue such as a community center or party room. Our favorite plans are sometimes the easiest ones. Even if it means having your party in the backyard or at a friends house. This year, we are planning to celebrate our little’s birthday party at our close friend who has a pool in their backyard. It’s a great place that comes equipped with the main entertainment of swimming.
4. Send Out Invitations

Whether you choose to create your own invitations or buy them online or in a store, be sure to include all the important details such as the date, time, location, and theme of the party. You can always create invites to be quick and efficient by either emailing or creating a Facebook Event for others to receive invite and reminder for your party. E-mail invites have come a long way and are probably one of the quickest ways to send your invitations to friends and family.
5. Plan the Menu

Depending on the time of day and the length of the party, you may want to provide snacks, a full meal, or just cake and ice cream. Be sure to take into account any food allergies or preferences of your guests. Some of the easiest foods are snacks instead of meals and the people who will be eating the food mostly at your party will be adults. As long as you have a few types of kid friendly foods available to your littles, you will be set since they will be running around most of the time. For drinks I love having refreshments that aren’t too high in sugars but quench the thirst. It’s never a bad idea to always have waters available for everyone.
Prepare Decorations and Favors

Depending on the theme of the party, you may want to create or purchase decorations such as balloons, streamers, and centerpieces. When preparing for your little’s birthday it’s always great to have your decorations ready no later than 2 weeks before your party. Depending on your location and what is available, using flowers or foliage of some sort is always great to bring a natural feel and look to the simplicity you are working towards. You may also want to prepare party favors for your guests to take home as a thank you for attending. It’s always fun to have little gifts like bubbles, tattoos, or even glow sticks for your guest to take home after the party. I love ideas like a candy bar or trail mix bar for others to collect in their take home bag too.
